The narikkuravas are the majority in population in Nomads in Tamilnadu. Predominantly they were hunters and lived in the forests by eating the yield out of hunting. Due to restrictions on hunting, strict rules laid down by the Forest Department, modern protection and caretaking approaches of wild animals, these people are chased off from the forest. Gradually they inhabited nearby hill places and settled down in small huts and shelters. Since they could not find necessary foods from the forest, they adapted the profession of selling plastic fancy ornaments and things of daily usages in common places. But they maintain their dignity and status by showing their capability to earn for their daily bread. They never go for alms, theft and disloyal jobs. They live in clusters, keep animals and pets. They never trouble anybody nor violate the rules and ethics.
